Wanted to try this new AYCE spot in the Bay Area with my family and it did not disappoint! Came here on a Saturday night (as a group of 4) at 6:15pm and was seated right away. We went for the $38.99 AYCE (includes hotpot meat and skewers). The server asked us if this was our first time and since it was she explained the menu options and walked us through which meats we could get! Amazing service! We got the spicy soup base and the bone broth soup base. There is an even spicier soup base option that you have to pay extra for, but the regular spicy one (which they said was mild) was already very spicy!! I like the bone broth soup base, it was pretty salty already so I didn't use much dipping sauce even though they had a sauce bar. There is a pretty good selection of meats, skewers, and vegetables. Everything is in these freezers and you can grab anything you like. I like this concept because you can just grab the amount you can eat. Each skewer is just one meat. You won't overeat this way and I think this helps with food waste. I like the skewers the most especially the enoki mushrooms wrapped in angus beef. They also have some interesting foods that you don't normally see at other hot pot places like frog leg and gizzard. Overall it was a good restaurant, this seems like a nice place to hang out as well.

Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. I originally made a dinner reservation for 7pm, but one person dropped out, so I decided to just cancel the reservation and moved dinner time to 5pm. They don't do reservations unless you have 5 or more people. I believe that is because those with big groups get a special room. I think there were about 3 rooms? The overall interior of the restaurant was great and on par with their SoCal locations. We were one of the few tables there since we went pretty early during dinner time even though it was the weekend. Because of that, we were pretty lucky and got the longer 4-people table. The table space was important, because we were constantly running out of space for our meats, skewers, veggies, etc. Overall, I enjoyed the variety of options they offer here. I do wish that their fridge doors were easier to slide though. Also some of the veggies don't look as fresh - but there's nothing wrong with eating imperfect veggies. Service was almost non-existent in the first hour we were there, but it was good during the last 30 minutes once the dinner rush employees clocked in. The waiter checking on us during that last 30 minutes definitely felt more experienced. The restaurant was only 50% full by the time we left.

MLBB Hot Pot's process is pretty different from other restaurants since you grab your own ingredients and bring it to your table. What lured me in were the skewer options and other side dishes/desserts like red bean sesame balls and puffed rice crackers! My table ordered the Classic Special Spicy Pot, and the Pork Bone Soup Base for our broths. I personally thought that the spicy broth had too many peppers and peppercorns, the broth slowly got more spicy throughout our meal. The pork bone soup was a good safe option! For the skewers, I think it's more of a fun way to change up how to eat. Nothing too crazy about the quality or taste of the skewers. I did really enjoy the enoki beef skewers though- the enoki and beef paired really well and was a group favorite!

We came here with a large group to celebrate a birthday and overall had a fun experience! We were able to make a reservation for 11 people on a Friday night through phone. There are also some small private rooms if you are coming with friends which might be a good option for something more intimate. It was a good thing we called as when we arrived we heard the wait was an hour for a table. This was my first time trying skewer style hot pot and it ended up being really fun. The moment we walked in, we felt like we were transported into a night market with neon lights and fun murals. For soup base we got a split pot with the house special spicy and pork bone broths. Both soups were great but warning the house spicy is fairly spicy for a hot pot base even though it states mild on the menu. The meat, skewers, veggies, and starches are self serve. It's a fun process grabbing your own ingredients similar to a traditional malatang place. We liked the enoki beef skewers but many of the meat skewers were too marinated/tenderized for our liking and we mainly stuck to the standard thinly sliced beef, lamb and pork. There was a large variety of veggies, tofu, quail eggs, and some seafood pieces to add which was all pretty fresh and really nice compliments to the meat. The sauce bar was great as well and I loved that there was fruit, shrimp chips, marinated cucumber, fried peanuts, red bean soup, and bing fen to snack on and finish the meal with. Service was a bit slow but there's a call button at every table and they were prompt to come by to add water/broth to the soup bases or collect empty baskets and trays which we definitely needed with a large party. Overall, a fun time and a solid hot pot spot!

Stop, POT, and roll your way over to this lunch special, $19.99 ONLY. This price is UNHEARD of in bay area. M- Thu Lunch Special $19.99 .:: Food ::. Skewers are not included as well as an entire side of the fridge. The host will indicate to let you know what is included. Even thought its limited, its quite worth it given the price! And especially if you dont care about A1 wagyu quality meat. They have the usual beef, lamb, pork, diff types of noodles, variety of tofu, many types of meatballs/fish balls, veggies, and a whole sauce bar for use. Split pot avail: we got the pork bone broth and house spicy Given the price, which again, I have not seen since maybe over 7-8 years ago.... It's MOST def worth it. .:: Service / Ambiance / Parking ::. Waiter was nice. Host was expressionless. We came on a Thursday around 12:45pm and wait about 10 min before we were seated. The place transport you to a diff place. They had like a chinatown SF vibe. Very colorful and unique. Parking was super easy as it was located in a plaza (same plaza as Mcdonalds)

This hotpot spot is legit! Especially considering it's AYCE!! I went with my mom and had their $48.99 premium AYCE bundle which comes with AYCE Malatang + Skewers + Premium Dishes + House Special (1 per person for house special). This was definitely a bit of a splurge but we left extremely full and satisfied. For our broths, we got the Traditional Special Spicy Dripping Pot (Hot Spicy) & the Fish Maw Chicken Soup Base. Both tasted so authentic and full of flavor! The skewer meats were so tender, juicy, and delicious. All the ingredients here are fresh and good quality. Next time, I think I would come for their $19.99 AYCE weekday lunch. It sounds like such a steal! The workers are very helpful and come by with a quick wave-down. It wasn't busy when we went on a Wednesday at 12PM. I love the unique Chinese-themed decor. It reminds me of the food courts in China with all the signage and colors. Dying to return as I type this!
